I completely failed collapsing this beautiful model... I am just not good at all in solving CPs.
I would be very happy if someday there will be some instructions to help me giving it another try.

I made two attempts before running out of time, neither successful (I managed to mix up fold polarities both times) but I think I had a good approach by starting at the tail and gathering the longer straight pieces in line with the snake′s body. It′s a really lovely model and I′m definitely going to try it again later.
I also had to fold this model twice because I wasn’t doing it properly. I managed to find a nice sequence for the scales
Here is how I collapsed the scales:
- Image 1: Folding this simple structure
- Image 2: Squashing every flap and sinking one side
After that, I collapsed the scales by following the crease pattern from tail to head.

ah... where did my comment go?
That was meant to be a thanks to Naoki...
@Naoki Terao, Great!! You′re almost right!! I′m currently working on a step-by-step diagram, and one of the pages looks like this.
